So I still haven't done a piece of Halloween flash. Part of it is, I'm still recovering from finishing the last novel, and part of it is my usual trouble with short fiction.
Instead, I thought I'd contribute a few macabre paintings. I seem to paint instead of writing shorts...
I think the witch is my favorite. Or maybe the Pirate Girl in the swamp. Hm...
In case I don't post tomorrow, Happy Halloween y'all!!

I like the pirate woman in the swamp the best, myself. Great job on the perspective in the first one, though!
Lana, Thanks! All I see are the little problems with the perspective in that one...
Wow! You're so creative! What a talented fellow.
Puss
I'm with Lana an liking the Pirate woman best. Has such a sense of adventure behind it. Would make a great book illustration.
I notice most of the women are in red. Research shows that men tend to respond sexually to the color red.
Oh, I'll link this up when I post my next halloween horror.
The pumpkin-headed rider is my favorite. Happy halloween to you, too!
Oh wow...these are fantastic! I think the last one is my favorite.
I like the first one too. It forces you to take a longer look and see all the details.
THese are so awesome! I love them all and can't pick a favorite! I am so jealous of your talent, by the way!
My favourite is the pirate woman in the swamp, with the headless horseman second. What a talented artist you are.
super stuff, steve ;)
i don't pick favorites, so like em all :D
I really like them all - at a pinch I would say the last one is my favourite by a smudge.
Wonderful work!
Love to see more :D
Puss, thank you!
Charles, we call those the 'red dress' series. That damsel (or damsels, she does look pretty different from pic to pic) gets into some spooky situations!
CS, paint's still wet on that one! I'm thinking I might use him again in one of the 'red dress' series...
Merely, that painting grew out of a phrase I woke up with stuck in my head: "The legions of drowned dead are hers to command."
SQT, I had a pretty god time painting all those books and stuff in. Little did I realize a year later, I'd be living in that house!
Ello, you're so sweet!
Barbara, thank you!
Laughing, glad you liked 'em!
Miladysa, be careful what you ask for. You just might get it... :-)
I like them all, but my favorite is the headless horseman. The flames coming from his head are a great touch.
